Creating safe spaces for others to thrive

Why I believe in strengths

In the 1950’s, Psychologist Donald O. Clifton asked the question, “What will happen when we think about what is right with people rather than fixating on what is wrong with them?”. Over the next four decades, a global research project based on this question led to the development of the CliftonStrengths Assessment, which is a central part of my work.

The big idea behind the CliftonStrengths® approach is that you can gain much more by building on your strengths than improving areas of weaknesses. By doing so, you manage your weaknesses through your strengths, and make your weaknesses effectively irrelevant.

And even better: working from your strengths is energizing and makes you feel ‘in flow’, while trying to fix weaknesses feels draining and therefore you are less likely to persevere.

There is only a 1 in 33 million chance that one person will share with someone else the same top 5 strengths in order. Are you ready to unlock the most promising way to success for your unique abilities?

More about me

"If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid”

This quote, accredited to Albert Einstein, reflects my strong believe that everyone has a unique combination of strengths that when known, embraced and used will bring joy, energy and fulfilment to one’s life. I was always intrigued by the uniqueness of people, the qualities they bring and love working with individuals and teams to make them thrive and create a happier and more human workplace.

After graduating from the University of St. Gallen where I focused my studies on marketing and communications, I earned my merits in management consulting. Besides mastering the consulting toolkit, diving deep into the Financial Service industry, and leading the global marketing strategy and operations, my company, a networked consulting firm and a place for freelancers to thrive, gave me the opportunity to experience part of what the future of work might look like and got me hooked on shaping a new way of working.

In 2019, I took a leap of faith and quit my job after eight years in management consulting and made room to listen to that inner voice, to get aware of my inherent strengths. On my journey of self-reflection, I got painfully aware how hard it can be to find the space to explore, to set all external expectations aside and blend out that noise.

My focus and style

Having found my own way to start living more in line with my strengths and values, I want to create these safe spaces for others to thrive, to explore their potential and get clarity on their path - in a private, but also in a corporate setting, to address the needs where they arise.

As a GALLUP® Certified StrengthsCoach™ and trained Co-Active Coach, I combine the strengths-based approach with (where appropriate) a solution focused mindset and can offer to work with you beyond coaching on joint problem-solving and act as an advisor as well. I am excited to bring my strategic mindset combined with the passion for people and a genuine interest in people's happiness to my practice.
