Founder Team Strengths Reviews
Co-Founders or Founding Teams usually share a unique relationship of intense collaboration, where friendship and business merge. The early months, even years of a start-up can be like a rollercoaster, demanding a lot from the founders. Having a solid relationship based on mutual appreciation and understanding for each other that holds under stress can be a key factor to the overall success of the business. With a strengths review and workshop you can build this strong base and thrive together as a team.
What to expect
Individually you’ll get your full 34 CliftonStrengths® profile and an in depth understanding and appreciation of your unique strengths combination through 1:1 discovery sessions.
Based on your individual strengths profiles, explore in a workshop setting why you all do what you do, what motivates you or when you’re at your best, creating transparency and appreciation for each other while finding out how the others “tick”.
While doing so, you’ll create a common language and vocabulary to better describe, communicate with and understand each other.
You’ll get a full strengths grid for your team, showing where you are strong and where you might have some strengths gaps, and explore how to navigate those for greater performance.
And since having people in roles that fit their talents, can fuel their energy, passion and therefore greater performance, we can dive deeper into how your responsibilities and roles among the founding team fit the team's individual strengths and where changes might be beneficial.
How it works for Founders
As Co-Founders or founding team members, you will all do an individual CliftonStrengths® Assessment and get your full 34 Strengths profile.
We’ll schedule 1:1 strengths discovery sessions for each team member to explore your strengths profiles in depth, create awareness around how they can show up and can enhance your life and understand your unique strengths combination.
The individual strengths exploration is followed by a joint workshop. Together, we’ll upfront decide on the scope, focus, timing and set-up of this workshop or workshop-series.
I’ll prepare all materials, exercises, and documents needed and will be facilitating the workshop on the agreed date.
After the workshop, you’ll receive suggestions on how to make the insights and learnings stick beyond the workshop.

"The strengths coaching with Nele has helped me personally and also us as a founding team of a start-up very much. We now not only know how to use our own strengths, but also understand each other much better. This helps us in our daily business. Nele supported us with her professional and caring manner. The exchange with her and also Nele's exercises were very enriching - we can only recommend the format!"

FAQs
-
Yes, absolutely. Especially in founding teams of two, the intensity and importance of this single relationship makes it even more impactful to explore your unique strengths together, create a deeper understanding for the other person and even review roles and responsibilities within your start-up.
-
Yes. It is important to create a common language and vocabulary, be able to share one’s own and recognize strengths in others to get the full impact of a workshop like this. Founding team members who might already have done the CliftonStrengths® Assessment can use whose results even if it was a couple of years ago and don’t need to do the assessment again.
-
The workshop is bookable as a one-off engagement. But there are common situations where Founders decide to engage longer or repeatedly: 1) they want to anchor the strengths approach deeper into their start-up by providing a workshop-series of 3-4 workshops a year, allowing to dive a bit deeper every time; 2) they use the strengths-approach as an onboarding tool for new employees and do a strengths workshop at least every year with their old and new employees.

Once you get in contact with me, we’ll schedule a joint scoping call to discuss your current situation and goals, and how to best structure and conduct the workshop. Based on that call, I’ll provide you with a proposal including the workshop scope, focus, potential agenda, and associated pricing.
